We carry a total of over 400 authentic stock tartan designs in our Forfar warehouse facility, and our stock tartan fabrics are supplied in two different weights - T7 and W60, which cover most design and manufacturing requirements. We can also supply a heavyweight tartan fabric - the W100, to order.

A set of sample books is available to illustrate every tartan in our T7 and W60 stock ranges. These are professionally bound and presented to a very high standard. The W60 set consists of four books containing the equivalent of 5.5 metres of tartan cloth. The T7 set contains five books and the equivalent of 9.5 metres of tartan cloth. T7 Quality Tartan

Strathmore's T7 Quality Stock Tartan is a 100% pure new wool, general purpose, worsted tartan. It is suitable for making lady's kilts, skirts, trousers, accessories such as scarves and neckties, and for a lighter weight gent's kilt.

It has a weight of 350gms per metre (11/11.5 oz. per yard) at width 155cm (61 inches), and is available in over 300 authentic stock tartan designs, in both Modern and Old Colours.

W60 Quality Tartan

Strathmore's W60 Quality Stock Tartan is a 100% pure new wool, worsted tartan kilting and upholstery fabric.

It has a weight of 405gms per metre (13oz. per yard) at width 142cm (56 inches), and is available in over 120 authentic stock tartan designs in both Modern and Old Colours. Our W60 is a thoroughbred, medium weight kilting fabric, woven with a traditional selvedge and intended primarily for use as a gent's kilting material. Its hardwearing qualities, coupled with our wide range of tartan designs, also make it an ideal upholstery fabric.

W100 Quality Tartan

We can also supply a Strathmore W100 Quality heavyweight worsted kilting fabric in pure new wool, with a weight of 465gms per metre (15oz per yard) at width 142cm (56 inches), although this is not a stock item. It is therefore available to order, in quantities of 30 metres or above, in the same range of tartans as the W60 Quality range.
