Strathmore Woollen Company Ltd. guarantees that all products supplied to customers are of the highest quality.

Colour Accuracy

Whilst every effort is made to represent colours accurately every monitor & display device is different and we cannot guarantee the colours you see are an exact match to the colours of the actual fabric. If you are unsure please request a Fabric Swatch from us.

Payment Options

Strathmore Woollen Company Ltd. accepts all major credit and debit cards (no minimum) and uses a secure payment system, SagePay.

Returns and Refund Policy

Strathmore Woollen Company makes every effort to ensure our products arrive in perfect condition. Stock Garments: Provided goods have not been damaged, used or worn (other than to try a garment on) they may be returned for a full refund or exchange within 30 days.

Tartan Lengths and Made to Order Items

These items are non-refundable / returnable unless they are found to be faulty or defective in some way or they do not conform to the details advertised on our site. Measurements for these items are the responsibility of the customer. We have provided, where possible, guidelines and help points for these to be taken. If a made to measure garment requires alteration, all costs, including additional postage, will be payable by the customer. Garments will be altered free of charge if they are found not to match the measurements originally provided by the customer. We make every attempt to ensure that the information on our website is as accurate as possible. Some products may display larger or smaller than their actual size and colour representation may vary from computer screen to computer screen. Tartan colours are as accurate as web reproduction will allow. If you wish to return an item please contact us beforehand so we can make the appropriate arrangements. We will only refund the return postage costs if the goods are in some way faulty.

Delivery Methods & Times

Goods available from stock are normally dispatched within 48 hours of your order being received. We will advise by return email if there is going to be any significant delay to your order. Made to measure and special order items can take anything from 4-8 weeks and we will email you when your order is ready to be sent.

UK & N. Ireland

Strathmore Woollen Company deliveries are made by courier for delivery the next day within the UK and N. Ireland. These times can extend to areas classed by the courier as ‘Remote Areas’. Carriage will be calculated at the checkout.

Overseas

International orders may have a choice of shipping options dependent upon the total order weight. Customers are responsible for any Customs and Duty charges payable in their own country. Carriage will be calculated at the checkout.

Air Mail Packets: For shipments up to 2 kgs in weight. Sent via Royal Mail then handed over to each country’s own Postal Service. Each one is accompanied with a CN22 Customs sticker which usually allows the shipment to pass through directly without attracting duty. Delivery time can be anything from 7 – 14 days.
DHL Express: For larger orders over 2kgs, this is our preferred shipping method. Delivery time is normally 2 – 5 days depending on the destination. Customers outwith Europe will be expected to pay Customs charges and Duty on the goods upon delivery. The Europlus service is used for Europe and the Worldwide Parcel Express Service for the Rest of the World. (see www.dhl.com for further details).

Taxes and Duties

Value Added Tax (VAT) is charged automatically on qualifying goods for delivery within the EU or European Economic Area; certain goods such as children’s clothing may be exempt. Deliveries to other areas of the world (including North America) are exempt and are charged at ex-VAT prices. Like all international retailers, Strathmore Woollen Company can take no responsibility for import duty, or for any goods seized by import authorities due to local regulations. If you are in any doubt, please check with your local authorities before placing any order.

Retention of Title

This remains with Strathmore Woollen Company Ltd until the goods are paid for in full.

Order Confirmations

Upon submitting an order using our automated shopping basket system, with payment made through the SagePay secure server, the customer will have the ability to print a receipt from the website at the time of purchase. An email will also be sent to the customer with their order details.

Data Protection

Strathmore Woollen Company Ltd is committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998). We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service. Strathmore Woollen Company will not e-mail you in the future unless you have given us your consent. Strathmore Woollen Company will give you the chance to refuse any marketing email from us in the future. The type of information we will collect about you includes: your name, address, phone number, email address, credit/debit card details.

Unforeseen Circumstances

While every effort will be made to meet shoppers demands, cancellations or variations may be necessary as a result of Act of God, War, Strike, Lockout, Labour Dispute, Fire, Flood, Drought or other causes beyond the control of Strathmore Woollen Company Ltd..

Complaints

If you have a complaint please contact us immediately by the Contact Us page. or by phone 01307 462135. All complaints will be acknowledged within one working day. Any complaint will be dealt with fairly, effectively and confidentially.

Law

Anyone dealing as a trader or in the course of their trade or business agrees to be subject to the jurisdiction of the Courts of Scotland.
